Investigations of connection detailing and steel properties for high ductility doweled timber connections

چکیده
• Restraining the notch effect in dowels significantly increases connection ductility. Post-elastic steel properties of strongly influence displacement capacity. Optimized detailing combined with an adequate allow to reach a high Constriction contact area plate has been observed. According Eurocode 8 moderate dissipative behaviour timber structures requires sufficient ductility critical regions. Earlier experiments on connections slotted-in plates and laterally loaded common rarely achieved values.
